We view CC PAL as the 'practice field'—it's the place where students are encouraged to try, make errors, and learn as they are developing new skills. Because this daily practice performance can change from day to day, the app data is focused on practice and activity, not formal mastery.
For a formal measure of student progress, we always recommend leveraging the Mastery Tests. Those assessments are the best tool for understanding what a student has securely learned, while CC PAL is the tool for practicing and reinforcing.
