Some users have more than one role in the Learning Portal. Depending on your role, you may see different tools and options when you sign in.
The two most common roles are Teacher and Administrator or Coach.
Teacher View
The Teacher view is used for managing classes and students.
In Teacher view, you can:
- Create and manage classes
- Add or archive students in your classes
- Add programs to classes
- Administer assessments to students
- View class rosters and student progress
Most classroom work happens in the Teacher view.
Administrator View
The Administrator view is used to manage users and access across a school or district.
Depending on your administrator role, you may be able to:
- Manage teacher accounts
- Manage school or district access
- Assign roles to users
- Review users across schools or the district
Administrators typically use this view for account and access management, not daily classroom work.
Switching Between Views
If you have more than one role, you can switch views.
- Sign in to the Learning Portal.
- Select your profile icon.
- Select Switch Roles.
- Choose Teacher, School Admin or Coach, or District Admin or Coach.
The Learning Portal will update to show tools available for that role.
If You Don’t See the Role You Expect
Role assignments are managed by Collaborative Classroom in cooperation with your school or district.
If you believe you should have a different role (for example, School Admin instead of Teacher), please contact support@collaborativeclassroom.org
