Universal screeners and/or Global Outcome Measures (GOM) can be used in addition to the assessments in SIPPS. They serve different purposes.
The assessments in SIPPS are program-specific measures that aid in instructional placement and day-to-day decision making within the program.
Universal screeners and GOMs can be used to screen or determine which students would benefit from the SIPPS program and can provide a standardized view of progress. Some universal screeners and GOMs include DIBELS®, i-Ready®, aimsweb®, FastBridge®, Acadience®, Star®, and MAP®.
