With consistent instruction and dedicated personnel, it is possible to accelerate student learning using the SIPPS program, which will bring the students efficiently to grade-level expectations.
The K–2 end-of-year grade-level expectations are as follows:
- Kindergarten students should complete SIPPS Beginning based on the kindergarten foundational skills standards.
- First Grade students should complete SIPPS Extension based on the first grade foundational skills standards.
- Second and Third Grade students should complete SIPPS Challenge based on the second grade foundational skills standards.
For students in grades 4–5 who have not yet mastered grade-level foundational skills, SIPPS Plus and SIPPS Challenge provide age-appropriate instruction that accelerates learning and quickly moves them toward reading success.
