SIPPS Challenge Vocabulary lessons are designed to be taught in order, with introductory lessons (1–3) building essential skills. Before adding the Vocabulary supplement, review these introductory lessons to ensure students understand key concepts and have the skills to work well in partnerships.
Rather than starting at the lesson that matches students’ current place in SIPPS Challenge, it’s recommended to back up to the lesson following the most recent assessment. For example, if students left off at Lesson 23, begin with Lesson 21 (the lesson after the previous assessment at Lesson 20). This ensures any skipped material is covered and maintains the integrity of the program sequence.
Moving forward, be sure to teach all lessons in sequence to reinforce essential skills and support ongoing student success.
