Display or store the fluency library books in a way that allows students to choose books at an appropriate reading level. The information included in each “bundle” can be used to help organize the books by level. Some teachers use a color-based system to organize books by level (colored bins, colored labels, colored dots, etc) and encourage students to choose a book with a certain colored label/dot or from a certain colored bin. Consider having students choose books at another time so that reading time is not lost due to browsing.
See Appendix B in your SIPPS Teacher's Manual for more information on how to check whether the books students are choosing are at the right level for them.
