There is not a direct correlation between the decodable texts in Sets 1–5 and other leveling systems. The decodable texts in Sets 1–5 have been specially written to match a scope and sequence of phonics and high-frequency word instruction.
For Small-Group Comprehension (Grades 1–5), students read trade books that are developmentally appropriate and become more complex over time.
