The alphabet wall cards are organized so that when you are teaching Letter Names lessons, you will use the long vowel cards as students are learning the letter names. When you transition to Small-Group Reading instruction, you will replace the long vowel cards with the vowel cards for short vowels (cat pictures, cards 31–36).
