As of the 2026–27 school year, we are transitioning from our current Learning Portal to an entirely new, elevated digital experience. This isn’t a mere update; it’s a digital transformation designed to streamline your daily work and remove the "prep scramble" so you can focus on what matters most: your students.
What can you look forward to?
- Integrated Lesson Flow: A seamless digital experience where videos, projectables, and assessments are embedded exactly where you need them.
- Enhanced Student Engagement: For the first time, students will have their own digital access to assignments, practice apps, and decodable texts.
- Just-in-Time Professional Learning: Support is built directly into your teaching flow with "Quick Starts" and modeling videos.
- Interactive Assessments: Record observations and evaluate student progress in the moment with digitally fillable formats.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to do to help my school or district transition to the new Learning Portal?
IT Directors, Database Managers, or Instructional Technology Leads should review the three supported Rostering & SSO options below and determine which one aligns with their district’s technical infrastructure.
Option 1: ClassLink (Recommended for ClassLink Districts)
- Best For: Districts currently using ClassLink for automated rostering and SSO. The process: Secure data sharing via the ClassLink Roster Server.
- Select the ClassLink option: Complete this form.
Option 2: CollaborativeClassroom Connect (Standard Automated Rostering via OneRoster or SFTP)
- Best For: Districts using SIS API connection or SFTP file transfer to automate user and class creation, or a custom method to send roster data. Read a Support Center article to learn more. Note: We do not support rostering via Clever at this time.
- Select the CollaborativeClassroom Connect option: Complete this form.
Option 3: Self-Registration (Manual Set-up)
- Best For: Smaller districts/schools that prefer to have teachers manually create their own accounts and classes using a registration code.
- Select the Self-Registration option: Complete this form.
IT Directors, Database Managers, or Instructional Technology Leads will select their district's preferred option and submit the form no later than June 30, 2026. Selecting the Rostering option now enables our team to provide the specific documentation the IT department needs before summer break.
Any district that has not submitted a Rostering & SSO form before the June 30th deadline will be set up as Self-Registration (Option 3) by default. This default method of account creation will ensure your teachers have access to the new Learning Portal at the start of the 2026-27 school year. Once you submit your Rostering & SSO form, the Collaborative Classroom technical team will reach out to your designated contact person with specific onboarding instructions.
Our Onboarding Guide includes a Staff Communication Kit to help leaders support the transition within their school or district.
Should I be planning how to preserve any student data in the system prior to the end of the school year?
Districts will be starting over on the new platform by either rostering or manually creating their classes and adding students. Previous data will not carry over, however you can request an export of their Last Passed Mastery Test Report if needed as a “starting place” to build within the new platform. To request this report, please email support@collaborativclassroom.org
Do I need to reclaim my licenses on the new portal?
All of our current customers will be migrated and sent an email to activate their account.
Licenses work differently in the new platform. Educators do not claim licenses/products. Instead, they automatically have access to everything their school or district has purchased.
When creating classes (or working with their rostered classes), they can add these products to their class for assessment purposes.
What is the rostering/integration process for the new Learning Portal?
Our integration service, CollaborativeClassroom Connect, provides robust options for rostering/data integration, LMS integration, and Single-Sign-On. Learn more here.
Why should my district/school transition to roster integration when we usually self-roster?
Moving to an automated roster integration for the new Learning Portal provides significant technical and instructional advantages over manual self-registration. By establishing a direct connection through ClassLink or Collaborative Classroom Connect (OneRoster/SFTP), your district can ensure a more stable and efficient environment for teachers and students. This includes:
- Automatic Account Creation: Rostering eliminates the need for teachers to manually create accounts or use registration codes, ensuring every user has access immediately at the start of the school year.
- Student Sign-On: Integrated rostering allows students to sign in directly to the platform to complete assigned work and assessments. They can access essential resources like CC PAL, decodable texts, articles, and trade books without the hurdle of manual login management.
- Digital Distribution: Teachers can assign digital texts and articles directly to students through the portal. Students then access these materials through their own rostered sign-on, removing the need for physical distribution or manual code sharing.
- Ongoing Accuracy: As student enrollment changes throughout the year, an automated integration updates your portal data automatically, ensuring new students have immediate access and moved students are removed.
What accessibility documentation is available for the new Learning Portal? How is Collaborative Classroom ensuring the new Learning Portal meets accessibility standards?
At Collaborative Classroom, we are committed to ensuring our literacy instruction is accessible to every student and educator, regardless of ability.
We recognize how important a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is for your evaluation. To give you the most accurate picture of where we are—and the improvements we have in motion—I’ve gathered the following information for you:
Current Status & Summer Transition
We are currently in the process of an exciting transition. This summer, we are migrating our teacher-facing materials to a new platform (C2C) that features built-in accessibility enhancements designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
To ensure we hit that mark, we are partnering with Level Access to conduct a comprehensive audit and provide a refreshed Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) once the new platform is live.
Documentation for Your Review
In the meantime, I have attached our current documentation to assist with your review:
- Current ACR: For our legacy Learning Portal (reflecting WCAG 2.0 Level AA).
- C2C Accessibility Statement: An overview of the accessibility features in our upcoming platform.
- Level Access Partnership Letter: Documentation of our roadmap and commitment to updated standards.
We’re looking forward to these enhancements this summer and are happy to answer any specific questions your team may have during this transition.
