Our grade level has another set of high frequency sight words that we use. If we’re using the SIPPS program as an intervention, do we use both lists, one list, or a blend of both?

The controlled-vocabulary texts used in SIPPS Beginning Level, Extension Level, and Plus correlate with the scope and sequence of the high frequency sight words taught in the program. Your students will need these words in order to be successful in their reading. You might compare your grade-level list to the SIPPS list and teach any words that don’t appear in both lists at another time of the day.
