The SIPPS lessons are very carefully sequenced and connected to the controlled-vocabulary texts the students are reading. Therefore, the lessons should be taught in order and without skipping lessons. Placing students according to their results on the SIPPS Placement Assessment will ensure that students don’t spend time in lessons they do not need.
