An SEL Assessment feature appears every week in the "Things to Do This Week" section of the Teacher's Manual to help you focus your observations of both individual students and the class as a whole. These assessments invite you to observe students for particular social skills and competencies taught each week, during the lessons and across the day.
The Class Assessment helps you assess the social performance of the whole class. This information will help you make informed decisions about how to adjust your teaching in response to students' learning and behavior.
Individual Student Assessments allow you to note how well each student is learning and applying the social skills in the program. Periodically completing these individual assessments allows you to track each student's use of the social skills over time.
Record sheets to track this progress are available in the Assessment Resource Book or within your Caring School Community digital resources on the Learning Portal.
