Few teachers at the secondary level have had the opportunity for extensive professional learning in foundational reading instruction, so it can feel overwhelming when addressing students’ needs. However, the SIPPS program is designed to support teacher growth, and professional learning is built into every lesson plan. As you engage with the curriculum, you will deepen your content knowledge and expertise. Professional learning is embedded in the program through detailed lesson plans, easy-to-access video models, and frequent reflection checklists. Additionally, the Learning Portal provides extensive on-demand professional learning and implementation resources.
