You can archive a student if they are no longer in your class. Archiving removes the student from your active roster and future assignments.
If needed, you can later reactivate the student, which restores them to the active class roster.
Archive a Student
To Archive a Student
- Sign in to the Learning Portal.
- If prompted, select your Teacher role.
- Your screen will open to My Classes.
- Locate the class the student belongs to.
- Select Roster for that class.
- Locate the student in the Active roster.
- Select Archive next to the student’s name.
- In the confirmation window, select Archive.
The student will be removed from your active class roster and will no longer receive future assignments.
View Archived Students
After archiving a student, you can view them in the Archived tab.
- Sign in to the Learning Portal.
- If prompted, select your Teacher role.
- Your screen will open to My Classes.
- Find the class.
- Select Roster for that class.
- Select the Archived tab.
Archived students will appear in this list.
Activate a Student
If a student was previously archived, you can activate them to return them to the class.
To Activate a Student
- Sign in to the Learning Portal.
- If prompted, select your Teacher role.
- Your screen will open to My Classes.
- Find the class.
- Select Roster for that class.
- Select the Archived tab.
- Locate the student you want to activate.
- Select Activate.
- In the confirmation window, select Activate.
The student will return to the Active roster and will appear in your class again.
What Happens When You Archive or Activate a Student
When a student is archived:
- The student is removed from the Active roster.
- The student will not receive future assignments in that class.
- The student remains saved in the system.
When a student is activated:
- The student is restored to the Active roster.
- The student will appear in your class again.
