If you no longer need a created class, you can archive it.
Archived classes are removed from your active class list but remain in the system.
To Archive a Class
- Sign in to the Learning Portal.
- If prompted, select your Teacher role.
- Your screen will open to Classes.
- Locate the class you want to archive.
- Select Class Settings for that class.
- In Class Status, change the status from Active to Archived.
- Select Save.
- Confirm the change when prompted.
The class will no longer appear in your active classes list.
What Happens When You Archive a Class
- The class is removed from your Classes page.
- Student and class data remain saved in the system.
- The class can still be referenced later if needed.
To reactivate an archived class, select "Archived Classes" from your avatar in the top right. Locate the class you would like to reactivate and select the "Reactivate" button to enter a new end date.
When to Archive a Class
You may want to archive a class when:
- The school year has ended.
- The class is no longer being used.
- You want to keep your active class list organized.
I don’t see options to archive or delete.
You will not be able to archive or delete a class if:
- Your district uses rostering
- Class management is controlled by an administrator
In these cases, contact your school or administrator for help.
