Being a Reader Article Library
Our new digital article collection provides students with additional text choices for independent reading and opportunities to extend their knowledge, the Article Library contains 90 articles. There are 15 articles for each grade (K–5), that are related to topics introduced in the core instruction in Being a Reader. For Kindergarten and Grade 1, a supportive audio track provides an introduction to the topic of the article and background context.
The articles can be downloaded to tablet devices via the BookRoom! mobile app. Additionally, the articles can be accessed via the BookRoom! Article Library chiclet on the Apps tab of the Learning Portal.

Group Mastery Report for Being a Reader Small-Group Reading and SIPPS
The Group Mastery Report provides educators with a summary of group and individual results on a Mastery Test. This report displays group results on each item of the Mastery Test, individual student results, a link to a PDF of the assessment, and an option to show student retakes of the assessment.
To access this report, select the “Reports” tab from the left navigation menu in ClassView Pro (found in the Apps tab on the Learning Portal). Then select “View Group Mastery Report”. You can read more about the Group Mastery Report in the ClassView Pro Tutorial.
Elements of Effective Implementation Tool Google Forms
The Elements of Effective Implementation Tool is now available in a Google Form for the Caring School Community, SIPPS, and Being a Reader, Second Edition programs. This can be used by leaders when doing classroom visits/observations or by teachers for self-reflection and goal setting.
Some additional program-specific questionnaires and surveys are also available via Google Forms.

New enhancements for ClassView Pro
New enhancements for ClassView Pro allow for streamlined access to assessments and easier class management. On the Apps tab, select the ClassView Pro chiclet to view a video that will guide you through these enhancements. You can also view an overview document here. The ClassView Pro Tutorial has also been updated to support your use of this data collection tool.
ClassView Pro User Guide
The ClassView Pro User Guide provides step-by-step guidance on how to engage with all of the ClassView Pro functions. Additionally, you will find information on creating groups, sharing students, and using the Card Deck App. Locate the ClassView Pro Tutorial on the Apps tab on the Learning Portal.
Book Clubs Expansion Packages Now Available
For classrooms that received Being a Reader, Second Edition prior to 5/1/2024, the Book Clubs Expansion package includes additional texts and lessons to provide students with further practice and knowledge-building opportunities about topics introduced in whole-class and small-group reading lessons.

Digital Versions of the Texts Used in Small-Group Reading Sets 7–12 and Book Clubs Now Available
Teachers are now able to assign digital versions of these books for students to read either in class or at home. The books available for checkout are from Being a Reader, Second Edition Small-Group Reading Sets 7–12 (grades 1 and 2), Being a Reader, Second Edition Book Clubs (grades 3–5), and Being a Reader, Second Edition Book Clubs Expansion (grades 3–5).

Implementation Updates
Collaborative Classroom and FluentSeeds Are Merging
We are delighted to share an exciting development that we believe has great potential to shape the future of education from birth to 8th grade. We are thrilled to announce the merger of our two accomplished nonprofits, Collaborative Classroom and FluentSeeds. FluentSeeds supports educators of children from birth through grade 2, and Collaborative Classroom serves educators of children primarily in grades K–5, with some programs extending to 6–12.
