Completing a Level

Last Updated: Jul 28, 2015 04:43PM PDT
What do I do when I finish a level? Does this answer change depending on the time of year?

Regardless of when a group finishes a level, simply go on to the next one:
-   If you have completed Beginning Level (grades K–3), continue on to Extension Level.
-   If you have completed Extension Level (grades 1–3), continue on to Challenge Level.
-   If you have completed SIPPS Plus (grades 4–12), continue on to Challenge Level.
-   If, after completing Challenge Level using the A or B lists, you feel that your students could benefit from additional practice with polysyllabic decoding, repeat the lessons using the B or C lists. (For more information, see "Challenge Level Word Lists" and "Teaching Challenge Level Across Grade Levels" on pages xix and xxi of the SIPPS Challenge Level Teacher's Manual.)
